Naaman and the Servant Girl

One of the stories about the prophet Elisha involves an army commander called Naaman. He is described as being the commander of the army of Aram (Aram was an area mostly in Syria). The story records how Naaman is inflicted with a skin disease and how he is cured of this disease. He is directed by a young servant girl, through Naaman’s wife, to go to see the prophet in Samaria (Elisha). Doing this would see Naaman cured. Naaman does as the servant girl suggests and is healed of the skin disease. So, the highly regarded soldier is given some God-sent directions through the young servant girl.

The Story

This story can be found in 2 Kings Chapter 5. The instructions from the young servant girl are in verses 2 to 4.
