Examples of Faith

Hebrews Chapter 11 is a passage written to remind those who would hear it about how faith had played such a vital part in Israelite history. It recounts several things that involve children: Abraham was able to rely on the promise that he would be the father of numerous descendants Sarah was able to have children even though she was past normal childbearing age Abraham trusted in God when asked to sacrifice Isaac, even though it was through Isaac that his promise of many descendants was to come Isaac was able to bless his children for their futures Jacob blesses Joseph’s sons Moses refuses to deny his heritage when growing up in Pharoah’s household, having been hidden for the first three months as a baby So, children and childhood are there when faith is seen working.
